A Weekend of Duets

Sing your heart out with Joe Newberry and Val Mindel!

On November 15–16 Joe Newberry and Val Mindel are bringing their popular weekend duets workshop to the Old-Time Tiki Parlour in Los Angeles. Over the course of two days, participants will work on both the basics and the finer points of creating that buzzy, close harmony sound that defines the music of the rural American South. We’ll draw repertory from traditional mountain and old-time music through to bluegrass, classic country and beyond.
