Description

Embark on the new chapter of David Wunder Brägger’s dreamy ambient “Séance of Sleep” cycle. Drawing on decades of musical studies (archaic Appalachian fiddle and banjo music, Indian classical music, microtonality, early electro-acoustic music) and a diverse group of collaborations (Indian street magicians, Bad Religion’s Greg Graffin, Mike Watt & Tim Kerr, Todd Barton, Dom Flemons, Bruce Molsky, Fred Armisen, Social Distortion, Spencer & Rains, Hog-eyed Man), David has woven together an analog-driven, folktronic “séance” of sounds via his meticulously-assembled electronic instrument creations.
Through David’s musical sleight-of-hand, circuit boards, looping oscillators, droning fiddles, and hypnotic organs, the listener will transform into a sonic somnambulist. The music is epic, meditative, haunting and wondrously minimalist.
In addition to the mesmerizing multi-colored vinyl, the physical album features the collage work of outlier folk artist Howard Rains whose work has graced countless album covers for Tiki Parlour Recordings. Each physical album also comes with a double-sided print of Rains’ surreal collage art.

“A both-feet leap into the lands of analog synth-dom, but I keep thinking I hear strings! There’s something in the attack, the placement, just the tones that are conjured — it’s a fully realized and imposing, often galloping, sound world that is conjured here, with a musical mind that shines through.”
—Mike Gangloff (Pelt, Black Twig Pickers)

David Wunder Brägger turns folk memory, analogue circuitry and microtonal drift into a slow‑burning dream ritual. Droning fiddles, handmade electronics, metallophones and vintage organs rise together, making an ambient record that feels at once archaic, futuristic and gently unmoored from waking time.
